Tell me what part of this ad is helping to decrease the negative body issues woman have against themselves? How does this lift someone up who has negative thoughts about their body or has been bullied because they aren’t a size 2? Adding alcohol in the mix like it’s an excuse to justify this is disgusting.
This woman is someone’s mother or daughter and I’m sure there won’t be one person who will allow this to be posted about their family member. Out of all the different ideas and slogans out there that could have been used for this ad, they went down a path of stereotyping this type of woman and attempted to make it a joke to bring profit.
How is this teaching our peers to treat everyone with love and respect no matter what they look like? Just because you have an idea in your mind of what a ‘real woman’ should look like doesn’t mean someone outside those lines are any less or unimportant.
