
Has anyone figured out why it’s 2019, and the majority of the cleaning advertisements are still featuring women? It’s amazing to me with all the woman power we have in this day and age, company’s are still getting away with posting ads such as this one. I understand the stereotype that we’ve all come to know is that it’s the woman that stays home to cook and clean and raise the children, but with more woman taking higher stake positions in companies, we are seeing more and more men taking the role of the ‘homemaker’. What used to be the norm, has not changed to be the complete opposite. Men staying home is just as beneficial to the family as it used to be for woman. Woman are making more money and able to take the reigns in higher company’s and it only makes sense for the other parent to be the one to stay home and tend to the family’s needs. This doesn’t mean that one parent is superior over the other – it simple is how that family is working to make ends meet and to keep a good balance for home and work life.
